Mostrim Munch 2017

Along with the Edgeworthstown Traders we are out selling tickets for the Mostrim Munch – our fundraising breakfast.
But we are also handing out forms from Longford Credit Union. For those that don’t know – the Edgeworthstown Credit Union is a branch of the Longford Credit union and as a result has limited services to offer. The purpose of the form is to judge people’s interest in having a fully functional office in town that offers all the services that a credit union can.
The alternative is to close the office altogether and move all the functions to Longford.
There has been a lot of angry comments about the closure of the bank and the people of the town had no say in that decision. You have a say on the Credit Union – fill up the forms and return them to John Farrells. At the very least you might win a hamper.

Events 2017

Events for 2017 – more to be added – some items are subject to change of times and/or dates and some require more details to be added. Anyone who want to add an event can contact me.

AGM 2017

We held our AGM on Wednesday 8th February. Our longstanding chairman Tom Victory has stepped down after ten years in the role and we thank Tom for his great service over the past ten years. Tom Dooley, our former Secretary has been promoted to the role of Chairman while John Cahill steps into the role of Secretary. We discussed the year gone by, a successful one for the group , increasing our points again.
We also discussed this year’s plans. We resume our Saturday clean ups on February 25th – new faces welcome. On the 11th March we plan our annual Spring Clean, we had a great turnout in 2016 and hope to go better this year – any organisation or individual wishing to get involved can contact any of our group.
We plan to hold a Fun Run on the 17th April (Bank Holiday Monday) – we will have more details on this later.
The Breakfast Morning fundraiser will also go ahead this year – again, more details later.
Thanks again to all who turned up and we hope to see new faces in 2017.
