Schools Competition 2019

SC19_08We held our annual Tidy Towns School competition recently and we had some great entries from the pupils and it was tough to pick winners. We’d like to thank the Longford Leader for covering the presentations, to Longford Credit Union for sponsoring the prizes, our judges John Cahill and Margaret Hayden and to the pupils for all their hard work.

Premises Awards Night 2018

We held our annual Best Premises awards last night and we’d like to congratulate the winners. We’d also like to thank again all those who support us through the year – the Traders, people who look after flower displays, do clean-ups in their areas, they make life easier for us and help make our town and parish look much nicer. A special mention the Beatrice Patterson who always goes that one step extra. Finally thanks to Mel Conefrey for hosting our event.

2018 Results

Well the big day has arrived and we have received our results. For the past number of years we have increased our marks and this year is no exception- increasing by 12 marks. This is down to the hard work of the volunteers and the support of the community and we’d like to thank anyone who helped out with our various activities through the year. We hope to continue improving as the years go on.
